Tirupati-Tirumala

Hello friends,

This time I would like to write about our family trip to the famous cities Tirupati and Tirumala in Andhra Pradesh. From many days we were planning to go for an outing. At last plan was decided to go to Tirupati. We were there for 5 days. In those days I came across various new experiences which I would like to share.

The town of Tirupati is one of the most ancient and spectacular places of pilgrimage in India. It is situated in the Chittoor district in southern Andhra Pradesh. The town is well known for the sacred temple of Lord Sri Venkateswara situated on the Tirumala Hill adjoining it. Tirupati is a quite big city. Tirumala is another city which is adjacent to Tirupati and situated on hills. Andhra Pradesh is really gifted with these two places.



Tirumala is the main attraction of all devotees overall the nation as Balaji temple is situated there. It is situated high on Venkatachalam hill. Tirumala comprises of seven peaks. Special arrangement of buses is done from Tirupati to Tirumala for the convenience of pilgrims. Whole way from Tirupati to Tirumala is through the hills and it is enchanting. It requires around one hour reaching to Tirumala. But one will never know that how the time goes and when one turn ends and another starts. One can see very huge hills appear to reach to the sky and beautiful greenery on them. There is a deep valley among those hills. To travel while watching this wonderful scene is really a mind blowing experience. Tirumala is also full of natural beauty. Lakhs of people from different parts of country come there to visit Balaji temple. They never care for the huge queue in which they have to wait for long hours or may be days as they have the strong belief in god Balaji. When we went, there was special occasion of 'Bramhotsav' i.e. annual festival of 9 days upto Dassera. So the huge amount of crowd was there. I have never seen such crowd before. On that occasion every day something special celebration is arranged which include palakhi, elephants etc. The temple is the jewel in the crown of ancient places of worship in southern India. The Balaji temple is very attractive and glazy as it is made up of gold. It is the richest temple. At night time, whole temple is decorated with colorful lightening. That looks amazing! One's eyes get fulfill by that lovely scene. Along with temple, Tirumala is the best site for nature lovers. The whole atmoshphere is refreshing. There are some other attractions at Tirumala which include Shreevari Padalu, Sheelatoranam, Wenugopal Swami Mandir, Akashganga, Papvinashanam etc.



Andhra Pradesh is the vast state. It was my first experience to visit any other state than Maharashtra. It was nice to see that many things change as the state changes like culture, language, dressing, and food. ‘Telugu’ is the principal language of the people in this state. Still we were able to communicate using Hindi & English. Then I came to know why India is famous for the “Unity in diversity”. As much rice grows in Andhra , it is the main food of people there. As I love rice & other south Indian dishes, I enjoyed eating Idli-sambar, Vada-sambar, Masala dosa , uttappa etc.

Hence , Tirupati–Tirumala are known for both religious as well as natural sites. I liked these places a lot. Also I enjoyed the whole journey to Andhra Pradesh by train. It was really a nice and unforgettable experience!

So friends , aren't you feeling to go to Tirupati ? According to me one must visit this place Tirupati-Tirumala at least once. :)

Hey...It's raining!

Hi friends,
From some days I was thinking to start blogging and was in search of good topic. But today only by co-incidence I found a cheerful topic to start with...

I was not feeling well today. So I didn't go to college. Whole day I spent at home. Really, a single day was too long for me. While in college I never get to know how time goes... but today my mood was also not good because of health. So I was hardly able to spend the long day. Perhaps I might have missed my friend's circle and the college.

In the evening I started to feel much better. I got out of the bed, came outside the hall and sat on our 'katta'. Unknowingly I started to feel the atmosphere. Nice, cool wind was blowing which was making my eyes blink lightly. I started to feel some sensation of the breeze in the body. Trees were slowly dancing due to the breeze. Suddenly, I noticed a thunderbolt in the sky. I looked up in the sky. White clouds were running as if they were playing 'hide and seek'. I started to observe their play minutely. Suddenly the sky color changed to dark and sunlight got dim. Even at 5 o'clock there was feeling of sunset in the evening.

As now everybody can guess what was about to happen I concluded that "It is going to rain now..." It took no more time for the raindrops to come on earth. Within few seconds it started raining. I told mom to take clothes inside so that they wont get wet. Then again I started my observation. In next few seconds heavy rainfall started. I was able to see the people outside were in rush to get into their homes. Coolness in the atmosphere increased gradually. I was also feeling the same coolness as raindrops were getting sprinkled on my face. It was really a beautiful experience! My trees in the garden were also just catching the rain and flowers started enjoying and were laughing. I put one pot with red colored flowers in the rain, which I had bought and excitedly planted. While looking such a marvelous scene I totally forgot my nervousness.

While enjoying the scene I went into my childhood for sometime. From childhood I like the rainy season among all three seasons. When I was child I used to think the rain is nothing but... "God opened all the taps in their heaven". :) Such a innocent thought! Now I laugh at myself. We used to make paper boats and leave them in rainwater..and watching them flowing along with water was also the mind blowing experience. As that water was a bit muddy it was having somewhat creamy color and we used to call that water as "god's tea". :) When I grew up and started going to school...and met with rain, I always asked my father to drop me to school although it was too near from our house. I felt for sometime to go again into those golden days of childhood which I know are never going to come back...only I can have those days in my memories.. :)

This is the season in which most poets have composed their poems, many authors have written their articles. This is the most magical season of the nature! Even the earth which gets bored of dryness of summer gets a refreshment due to the rain. Raining is the most important phenomena of the nature's life cycle. Without rain it can't complete. To adopt the counterbalance we can do many things like planting trees, avoiding pollution etc. So let's we all together pray to the nature to bestow the earth with rain.

Suddenly again I heard sparkling in the sky which bought me back in the present and made me to think on the facts. Generally rainy season starts in June. Now it is the first heavy rain which is falling at the end of August. After all it is controlled by nature. But somewhere we all are also responsible for the same. Because of globalization and industries man has destroyed a large amount of trees. This time all are waiting for its fall as..farmers for the crops, some villages for drinking water and city people to ovoid boring loadsheding hours and for many more reasons...

After this moment of rain my mind got refreshed and inspired. I stood up with my eyes full of that awesome scene and mind full of thoughts and memories. Then I started to write this blog and happy now as is going to publish. I hope u will enjoy my first blog while reading. :)

Wake up Sid...

By watching the promos I had a guess that ‘Wake up Sid’ would be for youth. It might be some sort of inspirational. As I like all of Karan Johar’s movies I decided to watch it. But it hardly entertained me this time. Means Karan could have shown better than this.

In that Ranbeer called SID has succeeded to play the role. He is one of spoiled rich,very cool, tension free. He never cares about his future, totally dependent for everything on his family. He never has any goal and goes where his life takes him. Like all parents his father is very much worrying about his son. They forced him to join his office and take over his business. But Sid always refused to do that.

Once, on a graduation party he meets girl ‘Aisha Banarjee’ (Konkana Sen). Konkana also well played the role of a matured girl. Aisha is totally opposite character to Sid who is independent, motivated and determined girl and desires to be a professional writer. She comes to Mumbai in pursuit of goal. She is brave girl. When Sid meets Aisha, in short while they become friends and Sid feels nice by knowing about Aisha.

Sid is forced to join office by his dad. He does so for some days. But as he is not interested in that he can’t do that for more days. As it is said that “Unless u cant do your work with interest it is work and once you create interest, work doen’t remains work, it becomes a joy!”

Here Aisha searches for a job and house. They both keep in touch by mails. She also suggests Sid that he should enjoy the work he is doing. Sid helps her in getting flat. In some days she gets editorial assistant job at Mumbai magazine by her smart skills. Sid fails in his academic exam. Again parents get disappointed. In anger he left the house. Then he went to Aisha’s home. She allows him to live there. They both live friendly. He likes Aisha and once he asked her “Why won’t u marry me?” She replied “You are like a child. I want guy who is matured, who has some goal and a definite career” Then he started realizing what he was doing. He also wishes something to do to earn. He has hobby of photography. Aisha suggests him to apply in her agency. Then he gets job as photographer. When he earns his first salary, he got delighted. He goes to his father and gives them his payment. He praises him for that and ask him to return home.

Until now Aisha is also in love with Sid but she never tells him. Sid tells her that he is returning home. She got shocked but allows him to go. After returning home both miss each other. One day Aisha’s article “New girl in a city” gets published in a magazine. Sid reads that. In that she writes a whole story after she enters Mumbai. And worte about Sid in that. By reading Sid got realized that she too likes him.

Then suddenly he takes his car and goes to meet her. Rain starts. They both like rain a lot. He wents to the beach. He sees Aisha alone enjoying rain there. Aisha got surprized to see Sid. They both committed their love and hug each other. And the story ends there.

Speaking about the movie review, i'd say that the movie would have been good if there would have been more trace on how Sid gets motivated and how he wakes up. It would have been made inspirational for young guys like Sid. Here all mixing is shown. Nothing is complete in itself. Main theme of the movie is not fixed whether it is love or waking up! Some songs sounds quite good to the situations. Beauty of Mumbai is shown nicely. Some scenes in movie are shown beautifully. Like the last scene, their reunion in the early mansoon!
